Show ACTIVITY PERSISTS " IN WYHMIN6 OILS Fifty-two Wells Are to Be Drilled by United Petroleum Pe-troleum and Great Divide. Developments the past week in the Wyoming oil fields disclose a decidedly decided-ly healthy growth in tho aeveral fields. Among the eoutraotd let are those of the Ohio OU company for the drilling of fifty -two wells on the properties held by the United Petroleum and the Great Divide oil companies, who purpose pur-pose to hit the second Wall creek sand. These are the advices received by the Montana Wyoming Oil company of Salt Lake, Whose holdings in Wyoming are large. The Illinois Pipe Lin company has commenced laying an eight-inch line from Chatham to Orebull, and this will bo completed by the middle of May. Fifteen miles north of Greybull parties from Buffalo, N. Y., have begun the drilling of wells in. a new field which gives promise of a heavy strike of oil. Near Bonanza the Ember Oil company has resumed operations which were shut down owing to the freezing of their water line. Between Elk basin and Powell, on the Polecat dome, active work has been resumed, and this will result in the building of another pipe line to Pran-nio Pran-nio or direct to the refineries at Grey-bull. Grey-bull. Prom the various oil fields of the country prominent oil men are coming in. Tney are making headquarters for the time at Casper and as soon as weather conditions permit there will be an exodus into the several fields, particularly par-ticularly into the Elk basin dome, where development ia now being rushed. Several ri;s are now on the way to the Elk basin field. |
