Because of reports that three or four clubs of the American association plan to withdraw and merge with certain clubs in the International league, President Hickey of the AmerW can association tonight issued a call for a conference of the club owners to be aeld in Milwaukee next Sunday. "If the Indianapolis, Louisville and To- , ledo club owners have decided to secede, it is only proper that we should know about It." Hickey said. "I know nothing noth-ing officially of these reports, but we shall expect, at our Milwaukee confer ence, to have them either denied or admitted." ad-mitted." President Hickey wants an explanation of the reported movement in advance of the annuai meeting of the association; which is to be held in Louisville November No-vember 12.
