Show HIGH "Y" CLUB IS TO BE ORGANIZED Meeting Will Be Held by Students in Y. W. C. A. Quarters This Evening Even-ing at 6 o'clock. A meeting of about fifty students of the East and West high schools will take place tli is evening at the rooms of the Y. W. C. A. in the Continental building to organize a High "Y"' club. Organizations of this kind can be found in most every city of any population in the country. During the Biederwolf revival re-vival campaign a dinner was held at the First Methodist church and it was decided lo come together after the holidays and organize this dub. A dinner will be served at 6 o'clock ; this evening, afler which the general work ; of such a club will be taken up by Homer j. Hoisington, local boys' secretary in the Y. M. C. A., who is in charge of tiie movement. A nominating committee to select officers will be elected. Harold Jennings, president of the Associated As-sociated Students West, the student association as-sociation of the West higii school, will make a talk. His subject will be concerning- tiie Mexican border, from which he recently returned with the Utah battery. bat-tery. The Rev. Chester Snyder of the Central Christian church will also speak briefly. It is the intention of Mr. Hoisington to hp!d a series of these meetings weekly or semi-weekly, at which some prominent men will be engaged to speak. Bible study lessons will be taken up at e;u-h gathering and different parts of the Bible I discussed. |
