Show BROKERS IRE BUCK j FROM CONVENTION National Mining & Stock Brokers' Association to Do Important Work. The consensus of opinion among t he mining stock brokers who attended the convention held recently at San Francisco, Fran-cisco, at which 'the National Mining &i Stock Brokers' association was organized, organ-ized, is that the new association is destined des-tined to do a most important service for the mining Industry, according to the brokers who have returned. Those who attended the convention as representa- i tives of the Salt Late Stock and Mining exchange were Fred C. Dern, W, D. Nebekcr, J. A. Hogle and J. C. Dick. Thomas S. Robinson, president of the . San Francisco Stock exchange, whs elected elect-ed president of the new organization; Frank Hcrvey Pottingill, president of the IjOs Angeles exchange, was elected first vice president; R. J. Evans, president of the local exchange, was elected vice president for Utah; A. E. Coffin was elected treasurer and W. H. Hannon, secretary. sec-retary. Represented at the meeting were the states of Oregon, Washington, Montana, Idaho, Utah, Colorado, Nevada and New York. The presidents of the various exchanges ex-changes In the various statos were elected elect-ed vice presidents for their respective states. They, with the official family of the new organization, form the board of governors. No attempt was made 'at the convention conven-tion to outline the future work of the organization, the time being devoted to perfecting the organization . of the association. asso-ciation. Informal discussions were held, however, and it is understood that President Presi-dent Robinson will appont committees to outline the work that is to be taken up In ' the immediate future.
