Show HOUSE WILL HONOR IMOIOF PAYNE Public Funeral to Be Held, First Since 1899, Burial at Auburn WASHIhGTON Dec 11 With sol emn ceremony the house of representa t ves on Sunday w fl mourn the death of Sereno E Payne for th rt ) ears a member of the house It will be the frst time n fifteen years that the house has held a publ c funeral paying f nal tr bute to a dead member lv ng in state in the hall of the house ot s nee Nelson D ngley Jr -was given a state fnneral m 1899 has the house so honored a member Kesolut ons adopted today invited all official Wash ngton to the cere mony The pres dent and his cab net the vi e pres dent and the senate the supreme court the d plomai o corps and the n gh off cers of the army and navy were invited to io n the house in mouinng its dead The senate ap po nted a tomm ttee to act -with the house funeral committee and arranged to attend the ceremony The services which will be entirely rel g ous in character will bo con ducted by the Be D c Coudea chap 1 n of the house and the Eev ba n el H Greene of tho Cal ary Baptist ch rch -which Mr Payne attended in Wash ngton.
