Hyde appeared before be-fore tno city commission yesterday to uic the establishment o( a municipal meat market hb a means of reducing the cost of living. They were told the city had no riht tb engage n such business under its present charter. "Then tbe charter should be amended' amend-ed' declared Mrs. Hyde. Lawrence. Law-rence. Other commissioners took the tame- view of the matter. Mrs. Card fa id that a movement to that end would have- the backing oi 40.000 women in L'tah. Tbe women left after assuring the commission they would do all in their power to bring the matter to the attention of , the legislature. |
