Shot Without Warning According to James Davis, Jr brother of the murdered man, his brother was sitting with h s back to Da les who vas seated at a small desk with, the firm s accounts n front of him when without warning Davies swung around and shot Davis in the back The boj arose and started for the door as Davies shot him the second time staggered from the room and rolled half way down the stairwav to a landing When picked up by Pa trolman Huntsman w o hurried to the building on hearing the reports of the pistol he was dead Immediately after the shooting and as Davies was leaving the room James Da Is Jr bays Mrs Baker asked Daviea what 1 e had done and he replied I told ou yesterday what I would do If 1 e didn t come through.
