The tennis elub elected officers in a meeting Thursday I and made plans for the) season s work. The conrts in connection with the edu il cation building on East Broadway will Vte pnt in shape as soon as the weather permits. Following are the new offi ears President, Miss Alfreds Tonng berg vice president Hiss Leah Mar- tin secretary Miss Edith Hill treasurer treas-urer Miss Ivy .Youngbergj grounds committee Miss Gertrude Frlede and Miss Mary Fisher K basketball court for the use of the Y W u A members especially the juniors is being made on the grounds near the educational building This will afford a place for several different outdoor games. Plans for the vacation cottage are being pushed and it la expected that the building will be put up early in th season. Easter cards and home-made candles are being sold daily at the cafeteria, the proceeds helping to swell the cottage fund. Each Thursday evening from 8 to 9 the gymnasium is open to all members of tie association for exercises and games. An interesting feature of the vesper service at the 1 W C A rooms in the Continental Bank building at S o dock this afternoon will be a talk on the life, customs and religion of the people of Persia, gu en by George K Peters, a native Persian who has spent the last five years in this country preparing pre-paring him self to teach among his people, peo-ple, ilr Peters is an interesting speak er, and will wear the native costume. Musie will be furnished by Miss Mil dred Knight soprano, and Miss Mane Howard violinist. The hostesses for the social hour are members of Miss MeArthnr s class of Phillips Congregational Congre-gational Sunday school. All young women, and any young men who are interested, are invited. ... The art exhibit including the copies of old masters by Utah artists, given under the direction of the Ltah btate Federation of Women s clubs, which closed at the Hotel Utah last night, was a suecess from an artistic financial and social standpo nt.
