Show REPLY TO PRESIDENT IS NEARLY COMPLETE Colorado Mine Operators Will Soon Be Ready to Present Their Case, DENVER, Sept. 21. Work on the joint reply of the Colorado coal operators to the tentative basis for an adjustment of the miners' strike proposed by President Wilson Wil-son was resumed today by the committee, consisting of J. C. Osgood and F. Gove of the Victor-American Fuel company and D. W. Brown of the Rocky Mountain Fuel company. It was understood that when the reply is completed the operators will select a representative to take It to Washington Wash-ington and meet J. F. Welborn of the Colorado F"uel & Iron company. Mr. Welborn Wel-born left Saturday night to lay before the president Wednesday the reply of his company. Late today it was announced that the reply of the operators not afiiliated with the Colorado Fuel & Iron company would be mailed to President Wilson, and that no representative of those operators would be sent for a -personal interview with the president. |
