Show "MOTHER" MARY JONES AT HEAD OF PARADE SEATTLE. -Wash., May 30. "Mother'' "Moth-er'' Mary Jodcs, an organiser of the United Mine orkers of America, rode at the head of a long parade of trade unionists. Socialists and members mem-bers of the Industrial Workers of the i World through the streets, and at the I disbaudment of the parade, addressed : two great open-air meetings, one of trade union members and the other of Socialists and Industrial Workers. Flower-decorated trucks in the parade were marked "to the children of Calumet." Calu-met." and " to the women and children chil-dren of Eudlow, " aod 'to the heroes of labor 's battle. ' ' All the union banners were hmij? with crepe. ' ' Mother ' ' .Tones in her a-ddresses advocated political action, praised the American Federation of Labor and criticised the Industrial Workers of the World, and deplored what, she termed the lack of interest taken by the women of Colorado in the government govern-ment of their state. |
