The Boss mine located in the Yellow Pino mining district, also known as the Goodspriugs district, in Clark county, Nevada, has been Bold to Seeley V. iludd of Los Angeles and associates for SC50.000, according to John A. Taylor of the Taylor Engineering & Manufacturing Manufac-turing company, who has returned after spending two days in the camp. There was paid down at the time the deal was closed $50,000. The Boss mine recently came into prominence due to the discovery dis-covery of platinum in its ores, and at proseut is probably one of the most widely luiown properties in the United States among mining men. The camp is enjoying a greater degree of activity than it has ever known bo-lore, bo-lore, according to Mr. Taylor, and more prospecting is being carried on. The number of shippers from the district, despite the low metal prices, is greater than ever. Plan Extensive Work. The new owners of the property will take charge on November 1 and an extensive ex-tensive amount of development work has been planned. The hhihgrade ore carries practically no copper cop-per values, but a four-foot ledge of sulphide sul-phide ore has recently been encountered on the lower levels which ran between 15 ::r.d -5 per cent copper, two ounces in gold and .4 of an ounco in platinum. This is evidently the primary ore de-r-oit. The oropertv has been bonded at various vari-ous times to 'the Walker brothers, the Go.-.be brothers and was one time held under option for $16,000 by J. B. Jenseu of ait Lake, who has operated extensively- in the Yellow Pine district.
