Show Society S. j i Ned Chestnut of Copperfield entertained en-tertained at a reception honoring Mr. and Mrs. Parks at the Copperfield Cop-perfield school. The twenty-four guests spent the evening dancing, after which refreshments were served. jt No. 1 Fire Auxiliary There were thirteen present at the No. I Fire auxiliary meeting Monday evening, when Mrs. Arthur Ar-thur Cook was hostess. Prizes at bridge, following business went to Mrs. Loren Stokes, Mrs. William Cook and Mrs. Marlowe Turpin. No. 2 Fire Auxiliary Mrs. Ross Beckstead was hostess hos-tess to members of No. 2 Fire auxiliary Monday at the fire hall. The ten present engaged in bridge with Mrs. John West, Mrs. Louis Chase and Mrs, E. E. Longfellow Long-fellow winning prizes, and later enjoyed dainty refreshments. L.o the bride of William Laurence Meikle of Salt Lake City. The lovely bride was frocked in a Chanel model of dusty pink. She wore elbow length gloves and carried a matching bag of poudre blue doeskin. Her slippers slip-pers were of French blue kid and a dusty pink bat completed the outfit. Her corsage was of orchids and lilies of the valley. Her only attendant was her sister, Miss Marie Condas, who wore a dress of dusty pink, a picture hat and a corsage of Talisman Talis-man roses and lilies of the valley. Raymond Stokes Gibson of New York City served as best man. Only members of the two families and a few close friends were present at the ceremony. The couple left immediately on their honeymoon. They plan to spend several weeks at Sun Valley, Val-ley, Idaho, then visit in Los Angeles, An-geles, San Francisco and New York City, returning to Salt Lake City in September to make their I home. . Cowdell-Johnson Wedding Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Johnson, whose marriage was solemnized Sunday morning at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. K. J. Cowdell of Copperton, are now at home at the Miller apartments, apart-ments, after a five-day wedding trip to the parks of southern Utah. Bishop George M. Nix performed perform-ed the ceremony. The bride, who was Miss Barbara Myrtle Cowdell, Cow-dell, wore a shell pink crepe dress with a corsage of pink rosebuds rose-buds and was unattended. Mr. Johnson is a son of Mr. Mid Mrs. Vern A. Johnson of Payson, who were among the out-of-town guests present for the wedding. Others were Mr. and Mrs. Bliss Crandall of Ames, Iowa; Mr, and Mrs. Marvin Warren War-ren of Clyde, Cal.; Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Johnson of Provo; Mr. and Mrs. Allen Richins of Salt Lake City. Also present for the dinner din-ner folowing were Mr. and Mrs. Hay Cowdell of Copperton. A centerpiece of sweet peas was used on the nicely arranged table. Shasta daisies, larkspur and pinks were the blooms chosen chos-en for decoration of the house. Withey-Parks Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Levi Parks, who were married Friday, June 28, in Magna, are now at home at the Sumnicht apartments, Carr Fork. Mrs. Parks is the former Miss Helen Louise Withey, daughter dau-ghter of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Withey With-ey of 840 Eighth South street, Salt Lake City, formerly of Magna. Saturday evening Mr. and Mrs. Miss Reva Vickers Is June Bridle In a ceremony .solemnized at the Manti L.D.S. temple, Miss Keva Viekers, formerly a school teacher at Bingham Central school, became the bride of P. Vincent Redd, son of Mr. and Mrs. Parley Redd of Blanding. That evening a dinner honoring the couple was given in the No-phi No-phi South ward amusement hall by Mr. and Mrs. Lester B. Bel-liston, Bel-liston, parents of Miss Vickers, for 100 relatives and close friends oi the couple. A color scheme of blue and white was employed, with Shasta daisies and delphinium as floral note, and place cards in blue with silver wedding bells. Among the out-of-town guests at tlie dinner were the groom's parents and their daughters, Me-rene Me-rene and Jacquelyn; Miss Ruby Hurst, Murray; Dr. and Mrs. W. J. Vickers of Logan; Mrs. L. P. Vickers, Spanish Fork; Miss Zoe Jensen, Ephraim; Judge and Mr;;. Elmer Terry, Provo; Mr. and Mrs. Marvin P. Draper, Moroni. Mr. and Mrs. T. E. B.-llistun and Miss Eunice Belliston of Sail Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Sandstrum and daughters, Diane and Violet of Riverton; Miss Irene Sorenson. Scipio; Mrs. Donald Irons, San Diego, Cal. Mr. and Mrs. Redd are graduates grad-uates of the Brighain Young university uni-versity of Provo. He is in the United States Forest Sen ice, They will make then home in Gallup, N. M.
