Ryan and .Tames Burko, arrested ar-rested Wudnes'day by Patrolman Crow on vagrancy charges, aro probably two nion wauteii in Bedding, Cal., for ju.ll breaking, was information which was given to the police last night. According to tho information two rnen answering to the descriptions, of the two now in the city jail broke jail in Bedding several days ago and one attempted at-tempted tho life of a policeman during tho escape. Tho men are said to have been in jail thero .on charges of box car thievery, and aro said to havo had several pairs of gloves in their possession posses-sion when they wcro arrested at Bod-ding. Bod-ding. Information furnished to tho police yesterday that tho two mon in custody wore probably two wanted in Colorado Springs, Colo., for a murder committed com-mitted thero last August failed of verification veri-fication when communication was established estab-lished with the polico of Colorado Springs. The sheriff is still to be heard from, but tho belief of the polico now is that the men aro doubtless the men wanted in Bedding, though it has beon suggested that thoy might bo wanted in both places. ' Interest in tho pair way aroused when they were searchod after their arrest and saw blades were found concealed in their nocktics. Immediately thev wcro suspected by the police of being moro than ordinary vagrants, and inquiries concerning them were sent out- Thev will bo held pending information from both Redding and Colorado Springs. |
