The boys, who appeared to be between as?S or and 10 i'ears. were armed with rllles and represented themselves to bc travelers on their way to Huntsville when they called at the Clothier home. They departed after the meal. About midnight Mr. Clothier's attention was attracted by a reflection, and lie found a 'vacant house belonging to Miss M. Guernsey to be on fire. While on his way to save the building the discoverer saw the three boys leaving. They had built a lire on tho board floor of the building. There were evidences at tho building that the three marauding boys had en-Joyed en-Joyed a chicken supper there, and nearby near-by chicken coops were reported raided. This morning field glasses were used In trailing tho boys amons: tho cliffs of tho foothills and mountains east of tho city, but they had not been captured this evening. |
