This party journeyed south to Lehi and brought tho trail'blazors into the city, whore the Commercial club had prepared pre-pared a dinner. Several speeches were made by Mr. Wstgard. and other visit-ora visit-ora as well as President B. P. Pedman of tho Automobile club and Secretary Caine of the Commercial club. After securing tho promises of the visitors that they would remain over until Monday night, President B. P. Redman of tho Automobile club nnd Secretary Caine of tho Commercial club announced tho visitors would be givon a formal reception and a good roads meeting at the Commercial club Monday Mon-day night. A wire was received from Denver from "Edward J. Yottor, president presi-dent of the Denver Chamber of Commerce, Com-merce, that he would bo present at the meeting. Secretar3 Caine yired back asking that Governor J. P. Shafrotb, former President C. A. Johnson of the "Denver Chamber of Commerce, and Thorndyke Deland, secretary, ho broughi along. At Price tbo party was joined by Fred L. Wood, J. Whitmoro and A. G. Gutheil. When the party reached Provo thev were joined by Mayor W, H, Ray, Prank Ramsey, E. A. Mitcholl, Roed tAndeberg, George A. Brown and T. n. Hale. Mr. and Mrs. A. IL Smith of Provo also accompanied the part3 from Provo to Salt Lake. Mr. Smith and wife drove a car from Grand Jimctioa to Provo a fovr weeks ago and at that time bad a bard time to got through, Ther were considered as part of the trail-blaring party and woro induced to come on to Salt Lake by tbo Wost-gnrd Wost-gnrd party. |
