Show ENACT RULES FOR COUNTY TEACHERS State Board of Education Prescribes Regulations Pertaining to Exemption Exemp-tion From Examinations. At a recent meeting of the state board of education a resolution -waa adopted by virtue of which all applicants appli-cants in order to be eligible to enter the county teachers' examination will bo required to file with tho state board satiBfactorv evidence that they have completed, 'a full four year high school course of study in an. institution whose teachers are standard college graduates or persons of equivalent scholarship. This resolution is to bo effective after the passing of the present school vear. Wjth reference to tho renewal of county teachers certificates forthe school year 19M-15, a resolution was adopted that teachers who file 19J-i approved ap-proved summer school credite will be exempt from examination in all of the required subjects for county certificates in which thoy have an examination record rec-ord in tho office of the state superintendent superin-tendent of public instruction of (5 per cent or more; and that teachers whose' examination record shows a. grade of at least 80 per cent in all the required subjects will have their certificates renewed re-newed for one. year by paeBincr exami nation under the state board in two books to be named later. There were present at the mpeting Superintendent of Public Instruction A. C. Nelson, Superintendent of City Schools D. H. Christenson, Dr. T. j. Kingsbury and Dr. J. A. Widtsoe. |
