BY far the moot successful affair ever given by the young' Ladies' Sodality Sodal-ity of St. Mary 'a cathedral was tho dance of last evening at the Odeon, which was attended-by. a larpc number of the younr ladles and their friends and bv the Knights o Columbus Co-lumbus as well. The scene was a panic ularly attractive" one, with the streamers of white" and preen used for decorations and tho same colors coverlnc the lights. Two punch bov.'la were placed In opposite corners and lhe3o were "brightly adorned with tho same colors. The aifnir was under the management of- the officers or the society. Miss Kaiherine Driseoll. Among the beautiful gowns seen on the dance floor those of the patronesses were especially noted, although al-though the young girls wore exquisite dancing frocks of simple style suited to their girlish beauty. Mrs. Thomas Kcarns wore an Imported gown of white brocaded bro-caded satin with a drape trimming of pale rose pink trimmed with beads. Mrs. J. D. Wood was dressed In n ria.uasoino black gown. Mr?. J. C. Lynch wore an evening gown of yellow chiffon over white with trlmmincs of crystal Mrs. William II. Lcary was In a pale pink satin gown with a bodice and trimmings of lace. Mrs Joseph Gcoghegaji wore a handsomo gown of hl'ack lace over white satin with trimmings of Jet beads. Mrs. F. K. McGurrin was dressed in a white satin gown, with an overdress of hyacinth blue chiffon with crystal trlminlncs. Mrs A. The women of the University of Utah - will hold an open meeting this afternoon , in the kindergarten rooms, at which each ; member will be allowed one guest. The Voung Men's Dancing club gave N last evening the first of the scries of H winter dances and it was an unusually Kj successful affair. Whitney hall was 1 decorated with the colors of tho Unlvcr- sitv of Utah and with numerous college I pennants which qdded gTeatly to tho beauty of the place.
