Show SCHOOL MEN TO MEET. Superintendents of State May Havo Convention Con-vention In Ogden. Special to The Tribune. OGDEN, Juno 30. Although thero has been no final decision In the matter, it Ik oulte probable that the annual meet ing of tho county school superintendents of the state will be held in this city during tho Utah Chautauqua assembly. Several weeks ago County Superintendent W. N. Pettcrson issued an Invitation to the superintendents to meet hern, and a majority of them were In favor of the plan. It wan the, original Intention to hold tho mcctlne In Salt Lake. As shown by Mr. Pettcrson, tho meeting meet-ing In Ogden during the Chautauqua assembly as-sembly would afford the superintendents an opportunity to hear some of the most noted educators of the United Slates, while there would be ample tlmo In which to hold their own sessions. About thirty-five pernons are ollgiblo to attend the superintendents' meeting. Among the subjects to be discussed are the employment and qualification of teacher?, tho courses of study, tho duties of principals. Industrial education and medical Inspection In schools. |
