Show COLUMBUS KNiGHTS II Ml DICE Surpass Their Former Efforts in Affair at Odcon ; Many Ogden Visitors Present. The Odeon presented beautiful sight last evening on tho occasion of tho annual dance given by .the Knights of Columbus, the affair being by far the most elaborate elabor-ate and most enjoyable that tho popular Knights havo ever given. Tho dancing hall was gay with I ho colors of (he order, white and purplo and streamers of tho combined colora giving a wry beautiful effect. Punch bowls in both of the corners at the south end of the. hall furnished refreshment for tho dancers, of whom something over HOO filled the floor. The young men of the committees had loft nothing unrdono to make of the affair the most delightful the guests could -wish, and together with tho patronesses who received the guests for them, they saw to tho pleasure of everyone In attendance. Tho young girls of tho Children of Mary Sodality were all In attendance, and many of tho younger society people were In evidence. An enlarged orchestra furnished fur-nished excellent music for tho evening, lo which dancing was enjoyed till long past midnight. Many beautiful gowns wore seen, the patronesses wearing noticeably hnndsonfo. costumes. Mrs. T. P. Harker of Fort Douglas wore a rose colored chiffon over satin of tho samo shade, and carried a gorgeous bunch of roses, as did all tho ladles in tho receiving lino, the gift of the Knights to their patronesses. Mrs. W. S. McCornlek was dresHcd In a heavy black satin gown, with trimming trim-ming of marabou nnd diamonds. Mrs. Mark W. LUlard wirs dressed In il white satin gown with au overdress of whlto chiffon, with crystal Insertion and marabou mara-bou trimming. Mrs. George Jay Gibson's Gib-son's dress was of lavender satin trimmed with silver and gold bands and gold lace. Mrs. Lewis C. Robinson worn a black Chantilly lace over old cold, with trimmings of old gold lace. Mrs. F. E. McGurrln's gown was of pearl gray mes-sallne. mes-sallne. with rose colored trimming, and she wore a beautiful diamond necklace. Over fifty of tho Ogden knights and ladles came down on a special car to attend at-tend the dance, remaining as guests of U Salt Lako knights. 1 |
