Show FoKT State Amateur Wrestling Tourney Tour-ney to Be Held .Second Week in March. GOLD MEDALS HUNG UP FOR CLASS AWARDS Each Applicant Must Show He Is Registered Athlete in Good Standing. What promises to be one of the biggest athletic events of the year is the Utah amateur wrestling tournament, to be held under the auspices of the Salt Lako Y. M. C. A. March 10. Gold medals will he awarded to die first man of each class and silver medals to the second man of each class in which thero are not less than three contestants. The following fol-lowing classes will bo open to all registered regis-tered athletes: Feather, special, light, welter, middle and heavy weight. Each applicant for entrance In the tournament must show that he Is a registered reg-istered athlete In trood standing In the A. A. U Any error will be construed by the committee as an Intentional error, and the right to reject the entry will be reserved. Oscar B. Gingrich, physical director at the Y. M. C A,, said, Saturday that considerable con-siderable interest is being shown lu tho coming tourney and that from all Indications Indi-cations tho affair will bo a succoes. A. A, U. rules will govern all contests, he said Entries will close Wednesday, March 1. Athletes must weigh In at 6 o'clock on the night of the tournament. |
