Howell today Instructed the jury to bring In a vonllft for S3S6 In favor of Nettle C. Armstrong against the West Coast Life Insurance company. Mrs. Armstrong Is tin; widow of Isaac Armstrong, a negro porter formerly emploved at the club-rooms club-rooms of the 3. P. O. E. at Ogden. While at work in the Watson-Tanner store, where he was temporarily employed, the negro fell from a. ladder. receiving Injuries In-juries which. It was claimed, later c'aused his death. His widow applied for letters of administration and entered suit ngalnst the insurance company when It refused to pay certain accident policies held by Armstrong. The amount which the widow claimed Is ?915. but the court held the company liable for only the amount of the dlrcctod verdict. |
