Mr. ManBon Is general superintendent su-perintendent of tho Oregon Short Line, A narty of about thirty members of the Fadett orchestra of Chicago passed through this city yesterday on the way home from Los Angeles. J. A. Reeves, general freight agent, and Frank J I. Plalsted, assistant eroneral freight nc;cnt. will attend the conference confer-ence of Harrlman officials which will open ln Chicago August 5. The Adams Express company will soon have a now steel car ln service over thc Pennsylvania lines for thc transportation transporta-tion of live fresh water fish. This will be for hauling live fish from thc lakes to the sea coast and will be tho first car of Its kind. Arrangements arc to be made so that thc motion of thc car will aerate tho water ln the tanks when It Is In motion nnd when standing still the water will be aerated by a connection to the air tanks underneath tho car, W. II, Dancrnft, vice nresldent and general manager of the Oregon Short Line, Inspected the shops at Ogden yesterday, yes-terday, returning to this city ln the evening.
