Show " BEST HAS IDT BEEN FOUND IN JARBIDGE 1 Returned Prospector Believes Future Discoveries Will Be Greater. G. A. Steele Is ono of the late arrivals arriv-als in this city from Jarbldgo district. Mr, Stcelo spent considerable tlmo In the new gold country, and as a result of his observations while there, Is of tho opinion that tho district Is ono of much promise. Ho states, however, that at tho present tlmo there Is really tuo much snow In tho district to permit of active development work on any of the properties proper-ties recently located, and It Is also Impracticable Im-practicable to attempt to make advisable advis-able locations at this time. Mr. Steele tied up several groups of claims for himself and the Interests he represents, and ono of these, tho Snowdrift Snow-drift group, is located near tho original Star group of tho Bourne holdings, being separated from tho latter properly by but one groun of clnlms. Mr. Stoelo will return to Jarbldge In tho near future and mako preparations for further prospecting pros-pecting and development work. An area some eight miles square has been pretty well located so far, Mr. Steele says, and in his opinion the best of tho country has not yot been entered upon. The Bourne discoveries, which to date nro considered tho most Important in tho camp, will be excelled, ho stales, by tho wealth of claims which will be taken up later on. Several maps of the Jarbldgo country hnvo been made and are now being displayed dis-played by recent visitors and in local offices, though they are rather unsatisfactory unsatis-factory Iniisiimch as but little of tho territory ter-ritory has been surveyed, nnd exact locations loca-tions nnd boundary linos have not been determined. .Mr. bteeic states tnat the rush Into Jarbldgo Is growing steadily.
