Show City Barn With Two Horses Is Destroyed Fire of uncertain origin', at 2 o'clock j this morning, destroyed the city barn on City avenue, between Sixth and Seventh South and State and Second East streets, burned a quantity of feed and Incinerated two horses. The loss to the city probably will reach S1S00, covered by Insurance. Neighbors discovered the lire and turned In the alarm. Tho hoso wagons from headquarters and station No. 2, and the truck from station No. A, with Assistant Chief Fitzgerald In charge, responded. Tho flumes had gained too great headway to be stopped. A barn, a frame structure, valued at $700. with the premises, was purchased from Mrs. Mary Ann Chrlslman for $10,-. 000. The night watchman. S. Mitchell, has no idea how the tiro originated.
