The charm of the Country club wan never more fully appreciated than on Monday evening, when Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Armstrong and Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Alexander entertained at a largo dancing danc-ing party. Tho spacious grounds wcro ablaze with lights and tho scene, an ono approached the building, was liko a dream of fairyland. The lights extended over the lawn and porches and transformed trans-formed tho placo Into a vurltablo bowor of beauty. An orchestra was .stationed In the main hall, and from 9 until long past 12 o'clock the drains of ,Straus3 waltzes and Sousa's deux, temps were wafted across the greens and enjoyed by lh0!e who sat upon tho benches, while-inside while-inside the dancers mado merry until the final notes died away. Delicious punch was served and dainty refreshments, while those who did not dance had a talk and a smoko or a walk on tho grounds. About 100 woro present and all in all It wan quite the most claborato and enjoyable evont of the early summer. sum-mer.
