Thompson against tlio American Bridge company, in which $10,000 damages was naked for personal injuries was dismissed on motion of Iho plaintiff. It was shown that tho company com-pany was not responsible for the dropping1 drop-ping1 of tho stocl beam which olruck Thompson and thuL tho responsibility was rcully owing to the carelessness on tho part of other workmen of the building. This fact made the company free from responsibility under the "fellow servant" clause. The trial of Iho case or Mrs. L. V. Roylance against the Utah Copper company com-pany was begun Fridoy afternoon. A Jury was selected and tho taking of testimony tes-timony begun. Tho suit is for $i"iO,000 damages for the accidental death of Thonins Royhincc while working for tho copper company in May. Hoyhujce. was crossing Iho tracks of tho railway lino controlled by the company when he wao run down and almost Instantly killed. The bond In the case of Richard Price was reduced from $1B00 lo $500. Prlco Is under indidmcnt on a charge of perjury per-jury In making false statements in llnal proof of a land entry. Price was taken before United States Commissioner Charles Baldwin and the reduction of bonds arranged.
