The absolute lack of Ire protection by the West Ogden people heretofdre has made Insurance rnlcn in that section almost prohibitive. The extension, ex-tension, being made under tho supervision of the city engineering and waterworks department, will connect with tho water main on Wall avenue, near Twenty-fourth Twenty-fourth street. Tronchos live feet deep have been made and more than 400 feet of pipe already have been laid. Tho most difficult part of the unterlaklng will bo the construction of the tunnel under Wober river for a distance of about one hundred feet.
