company they secured a franchise from the city government but nothing more has since been done except the dumping along certain streets of a thousand or two of condemned railroad ties by one individual who has apparently assumed the responsibility of purchasing them ram himself on behalf of the corn pany on investigation we leam that the has so far received no au dhority to purchase ties from anybody much less from himself for the proposed street railway it is surmised 1 that having a lot of condemned ties he saw no more profitable way of getting rid of them than by turning them in on street railway stock be that as it may the public are just now wondering why it is thab this street railway company dont commence operations and the question is being asked has not the alty council been trifled with long enough |
