Show Mrs. Frank Finnis entertained her Five Hundred club Tuesday evening at her home. Cards were arranged for the following guests: Mrs. Bud Nichol, Mrs. Albert Ray, Mrs. Melvin Olsen, Mrs. Orval Warner, Mrs. Ernest Nichols, Nich-ols, Mrs. E. J. Cowdell and Mrs. Dewey Mayne. Prizes were won by Mrs. Olsen, Mrs. Warner and Mrs. Cowdell. ;A late luncheon was served. 5 Mrs. James' Barkle, James Barkle Jr., Pauline Barkle and Miss Laura Marshall returned home Tuesday' from Pasadena, Cal., where they attended the Rose Festival and Rose bowl football game on New Year's Day. Mrs. E. E. Edwards of American Ameri-can Fork is visiting here this week. Mrs. Edwards is a former Copperton resident. Miss Ivie Peterson of Tremon-ton Tremon-ton is visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Colyar. Mr. and Mrs. V. S. Barlow and daughter attended a family dinner din-ner party Sunday at Clearfield given by Mr. Barlow's mother. Mr. and Mrs. Stan Jacques accompanied ac-companied their son, Spencer, back to Logan Monday where he is enrolled at the U.S.A.C. Miss Norma Nix returned home Monday evening from Coalville, where she spent the holidays with relatives. Master Bob Nichol was host at a New Year's party at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bud Nichol, Saturday evening. even-ing. O Copperton By Mary Brown Mrs. Delia May Dinger of Los Angeles, was called here Tuesday Tues-day by the death of her father, John L. Dobson, who died Tuesday Tues-day morning in Salt Lake City hospital of a heart ailment. Mr. and Mrs. E. V. Knudsen and son, Jack, spent the week end at Fairview visiting Mr. and Mrs. Sam Christensen. Miss Jenny Buchman spent the holidays with Mr. and Mrs. George Robbe. Mrs. Freda Shadle of San Francisco, California, arrived here this week to spend the remainder re-mainder of the winter with Mr. and Mrs. L. S. Sumnicht. The officers and teachers of the L. D. S. Primary association plan to give a New Year's party for the members in the grade school auditorium Friday afternoon. after-noon. Colyar returned home from the St. Mark's hospital Friday Fri-day where he underwent an appendix ap-pendix operation last week. Misses Jean and Mary Frances Frazier returned to Mt. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Davis and daughter, Betty, and Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Cox and daughter, Mary, spent the holiday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cox. |
