Cal.. r. few navs aco. was held at 2:30 p. m. o'clock- at the undertaking parlors of Rfoer Hp 11 Th services wore conducted bv Rev.'c. K. Perkins of M Paul's church. The 'chapel was filled to its capacity. A large number num-ber of thy Structural Iron Worker's' union were present, and the father of the deceased. de-ceased. Hans Hertell. and others of the Immediate family. Interment was In tho City cemetery. John Hertell lived, when in Fait Lake, with hls father at -517 South Third Ea.t street. Prior to the fatal accident, ho had been working In Seattle, and It was while he was en route from that place to Sa it Lako via San Francisco that ho was killed. It is said he wav Ivlnjr upon the top of a box car. and that when the train entered the snowsheds near TruckcK he lifted his head to look forward and was struck by a low beam and instantlv killed. |
