Show I FOURTH UNIT FOR THE MILL AT ELY ORDERED The Hughes Construction Co. of Denver has been awarded tho contract for the carpenter work and the erection of the machinerv in the fourth unit of the Step-toe Step-toe concentrator. The time allowed for the completion of the work is 00 days, after which the machinery must bo put through a satisfactory run of seven days before the unit will be accepted by the company. The letting of this contract means the .speedy employment of about 100 skilled mechanics In addition to tho present force at tho Steptoe plant. "Experience having demonstrated that the Steptoe concentrator is somewhat deficient de-ficient in Wilfley table capacity, the management man-agement has conceived the idea of double-decking double-decking the Willley Hoot- and thereby gaining room for nearly twice the number num-ber of tables at lir.st employed. The second sec-ond deck of Willlcys Is now In operation in two of the throe units of the mill, and the results are said to bo highly satisfactory.
