Show Bingham Brevities Special to The Tribune. BINGHAM, April 3. Saturday night the Eastern Star, tho ladies' auxiliary to the Masons, was organized in Bingham, Bing-ham, with the following officers: Matron, Mat-ron, Mrs. Quick; patron, J Robertson; matron, Mrs. Conner; conductress, Mrs. Robertson; associate conductress, Mrs. Martin; secrotaiy, Mrs. Conner; Adah, Mrs. McCrackeu; Kuth, Miss Gilpin; Esther, Miss Brandow; Martha, Mrs. Gilpin; marshal, Mrs. Porter; warden, Mrs. McCrackeu; chaplain, Mrs. Havncs. Mrs. William Myers entortaincd the Ladies' Aid sociot3' Wednesday. Next week thoy will meet with Mrs Baughan. Tuesday tho Unity, club mot at Mrs. Goodrich's. A light luncheon was cn-joved. cn-joved. After tho ceremonies the visiting guests wore taken to tho workings of the Utah Coppor mine, and through Bingham, returning re-turning to the lodge rooms, where an elegant banquet, prepared b.y tho Women Wo-men of Woodcraft, was awaiting them. Scvernl toasts and speeches wcro given during luncheon. Messrs. Sam Byron and Sam Mallably wcro each presented with emblematic jewels of the order. General Organizer T. G. Arun Hooscr was spokesman for the Salt Lako Woodmon and in their behalf spoke of the good time and courteous treatment received at tho hands of Bingham Woodmen and Women of Woodcraft. The Salt Lake boys left on tho afternoon after-noon train. The Eagles will give their annivcr-' sary ball Monday, April 5. This has alwavs been ono of tho biggest events of tlic 3'car and Monday night's dance promises to bo no exception! Tho Bingham Commercial club's nun-strol nun-strol show, to bo given Suuday night, promises to surpass anything in tho lino hold ip Bingham. Tho prominent citizens of tho camp will bo seen in comical parts, and thoso not in tho play will bo seen in the ridiculous po sitions or selling peanuts, ciumj poncorn and passing programs. It is said tho mayor has been chosen as hoad usher and in charge of tho above-named above-named vendors. The whole affair will be of a mirthful and side-splitting nature. na-ture. The town board has had completed a largo wooden flumo at the mouth of Dry Fork canyon, stretching half-way to what is known as Finn town. The flumo is so constructed as to combine tho waters of Dry Fork and Highland Bo.y, and to concentrate theso waters to 'be used in case of fires. Two young daughters aro down with scarlet "fovor, and Monday, last the mother gave birth to a baby. Tho father remained re-mained home from work to take care of his stricken family, and lie now is sick. Neighbors and friends arc assisting as-sisting them in ovor3' way possible. Scarlot fever is spreading and numerous nu-merous casos havo been added to the ones already under quarantine. Health Officer Dr. F. E. Straup has ordered strict cleaning of ditches and is enforcing stringent sewerage conditions, condi-tions, in order to abato tho further spread of scarlet fever. The Lark school, six miles from Bingham, has closed on account of scarlet fever. Children are kept off tho streets, and all public gatherings at Lark have been stopped. |
