James Sprunt. representing the Wcstinguousc Electric company, was in town Saturday, looking after his com-pany's com-pany's interests. Misses Carrie Marquardson and Min-nio Min-nio Jeuscn of Elsinoro were visitors in Richfield last Wednesday. Harold Foutz, son of Dr. Foutz, met with a bad accident last Tuesday. While chopping wood a stick struck him ; in - the face, inflicting a severe wound. Leslie Foutz, a younger brother, hnd an arm broken' a few days ago. Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Hicks of Stearns. Mont., have been visiting in Richfield and vicinity for tho past two weeks, j and arc much taken with this country. Mrs. Hicks is a sister to Mrs, W. II. ' Robinson. j Miss Lizzie Ross, a former teacher in tho public school here, was a Richfield visitor Tuesday. She may resume her old positiou and take one of the grades hero this fall. . Mrs. Maggio Hood is making a short visit in Salina this week, the guest of Mrs. Scorup. Walter Christenson arrived here from Beaver Tuesday. Ho will leave for i Provo at once, where he will organize a dramatic conipany to tour the state. His company wilTbc composed of eastern east-ern people. It is rumored that Rev. Mr. Wilbur will be assigned to the pulpit of the M. E. church in Richfield. Ho comes from Oklahoma and is said to be a man of culturo and refinement and ouc who will follow the line of work pursued by tho retiring pastor. It is also said that a young minister, Rev. Mr. nanks, will assume the duties of pastor of the Presbyterian Pres-byterian church. Rev. W. L. Dexter is in Richfield this week, propariug to movo to tho scene of his futuro activities. lie has been assigned as-signed to the town of Snsauville. Gal., which is the county scat of Lawson count'. Abo Hansen and Miss Effie Sorensen were married in tho Salt Lake tomplc last Wednesday and have settled down to quiet married lifo at the Griffith home on North Mnin streot. Mr. nan-sen nan-sen is one of the representative young men of Richfield. Mrs. Hansen is one of our leading young ladies and both have a host of friends who wish them success.. The Commercial club tendered a reception re-ception to F. K. Soegmillcr last Thursday Thurs-day uighl. which was one of the most brilliant functions ever held in this city. The club rooms were filled with tables and five hundred was the game of tho evening. The cntertaiumcnt committee prepared and served the finest German lunch that has ever been served in the rooms. Mr. Soegmillcr left with his fumilj' the following morning for his futuro homo in Salt Lake City. A. S. Cainc left for Salt Lako last Sunday, whore ho has boon employed bv ono ol tho newspapers. |
