Chief of Police Grant killed a deer In Barnov's canyon this morning, hitting tho animal behind the car with a 30-30 rllle ball. The deer was full grown and had a vcrv pretty head, which tho chief will send" to Salt Lake City to bo mounted. Tho deer wns killed at a range of about two hundred yards. Accompanying tho chief were Constable Doane and Patrolman Henston. All three men saw the deer, but the chief was the first to get within gunshot, and he killed U upon tho first attempt
