Show CANADIANS LAY PLANS TO CONSOLIDATE TRACKS Tribune Special Sporting Service. TORONTO, Ont., Oct. 3. A meeting of tho presidents of tho different racing rac-ing associations in Canada was held hero recently and plans laid for the organization of a club -which will bo known as tho Canadian Racing associations, associa-tions, with permanent ofliccs in Toronto. The meeting was attended by George Hendric of the Windsor .lockcy club, John H. Ladigan of the New Niagara Jockey club, Judgo Monk of tho Ilam-lton Ilam-lton Jockey club. Sir H. Moutagu Allan of--the Montreal Jookoy club and Joseph E. Seagram of tho Ontario Jockey dub. The idea of tho new bod3' is to formulate form-ulate a set of rules under which racing in Canada will bo held, tho allottmont of dates to the different associations, the licensing of trainers and ,ioclC3rs and tho appointment of ono set of officials of-ficials that will act pn all tracks, members mem-bers of tho association. An effort will be made for an arrangement arrange-ment with both tho jockey clubs in tho west and tho nockcy club in New York, lookiug to the collection of forfeits. The next meeting will bo held October 23, when tho club will bo organized. Tho Canadian Racing association promises prom-ises to be a very strong turf body and has been assured of protection by tho authorities. |
