A. nod-quist nod-quist charmingly entertained at hor homo on Tuesday evening, the affair being in compliment of the Utah Pharmacists Phar-macists atteating the convention hore. Jars of red dahlias and goldenglow wero the flowers used in decorating, and progressive pro-gressive whist was tho gamo of tho evening. Prizes wero awarded to Mrs. J. B. Tomlinson of Salt Lake and Mrs. Henry Dunn t Pleasant Grovo. Forty guests were present. Tho members of tho sixth ward en-io3"cd en-io3"cd a picnic at Knudson's grove on Thursday afternoon. Tho trip was made on hayracks, and tho afternoou was spont in games, dancing and races. W- L. Camp entertained the county employees and the county commissioners commission-ers and a few invited friends at tho Utah county infirmary on Tuesday ovoniug. All participated in dancing and games and Miss Jonuio Camp sang soveral solos. Mrs. Jacob Evans is spending a few weeks rusticating at Wildwood iu Provo ennyon. Mrs. Gortrude Pago of Provo and Miss Leona Billings oC Salt Lake aro spending the week at Upper Falls, Provo canyon. Mrs. Albert Jones was guest of Mrs. T. E. Thurman at Upper Palls this wock. Mrs. A. L. Booth and children arc at Upper Falls, Provo canyon, for tho balance bal-ance of tho summer. Miss Ernma Greenwood of American Fork spent Tuesday and Wednesday in Provo. Mr. and Mrs. William Thornton of American Fork wore tho guests of Mibs Alio Smoot on Tuesday. After spending a month at Upper Falls, Mrs. Thomas Fierpont and family fam-ily have returned to their homo in Provo. Tho La Coterie club has returned from an outing at South Fork in Provo canyon. Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Noycs aro spending spend-ing tho week at Wildwood. Mrs. C. H. Sparks ontcrtained about twentj'-fivo children at n lawn party on Thursday afternoon in honor of her little daughter Lorone, Tho house and lawn wero prettily decorated with flowers flow-ers and bunting. After games and dancing, luncheon was served out of doors. The members of tho city council spent Tuesday iu Provo canyon, visiting visit-ing the various resorts. The Y. L. M. I. A. of the second ward entertained at an afternoon affair ut the ward house Tuesday, in compliment to the ladies of the Relief society. Music and sentiments wore tho features. A party of tho visiting druggists participated in a camp dinner at Riverside River-side on Tuesday evening, after which they enjoyed a short ride on tho lake in tho launch Cleo. Miss Ferris Noyes is tho guest of Miss Leona Dunn at Wildwood this week. Mr. and Mrs. Colin Mcintosh of Sait Lake City aro at Spring Dell in Provo canyon for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Anderson, Mr. McArthur and Miss Hayes of Salt Lake are at Spring Dell for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. E. T. Culbertson aro spending a fow weeks at Upper Falls in Provo can'on. Walter J. George Startup and wife entertained a party of friends at Wildwood iu Provo canyon on Sunday. A party of Y. M. C. A. boys from Salt Lake are encamped at Pelican Point for ten days. A number of ortr young people organized to cross tho lake in launches to visit them at their camp during the week. Mr. and Mrs. William M. Roylance, Mr. and Mrs, Will Ward and a party of friends spent Thursday evening at camp Riverside. After a spin on tho lake in the launch Martha Ann and a fine lunch, tho party returned to tho city well pleased with the outing. Mayor Charles F.
