Nelson, charged with tho robbery of tho Utah National bank, was in tho nominal nomi-nal custody of United States Marshal Spr This contretemps was occasioned by tho fact that P. W. Madsen resigned as ono of Nelson's bondsmen and another an-other had to be found, tho successor being Henry M. Dinwoodey. In a letter addrosscd to A. B. Irvine, of counsel for roung Nelson, Mr. Madsen Mad-sen asked to be rclioved aa a surety on the bond. A copy of tho letter accompanying ac-companying Madsen Js resignation could not bo obtained Friday; but Mr. Dinwoodey Din-woodey was quickly soeurcd to go on tho bond with Mr. Langford. It is understood un-derstood that tho articles of agreement in Mr. Madsen 's partnerships preclude him from becoming surety for any one. According to report, S. R. Thurman of tho legal firm of Thurman, Wedge-wood Wedge-wood & Irvino has been rotaincd as souior counsel for young Nelson. |
