Show STILL ANOTHER ECHO OP KOALA TROUBLES Another echo of the Koala Fuel Manufacturing Man-ufacturing company's troubles is heard in YV. S. McCoruick's suit against Dr. John T. White, filed in the district court Thursday, to recover .1500 on a promissorj' note given for that number of shares of stock in tho fuel company. com-pany. Both men arc now suhi'- oach other, inasmuch as Dr. White has tiled a. suit against the company, in which he joins Mr. McCornie.k as defendant, to recover this promissory note, along with another an-other for . f 500, which, with $500 in hard Cash, he put up for 2500 shares of stock iu tho company. Dr. White charges Mr. McCornick. along with tho other members of tho company, of conspiring together to defraud de-fraud tho public, but Mr. McCornick denies that he over lent his namo or iufluencu toward the organization of the company. Admittedly the affairs of. the concern are-iu a bad shape, aud it is said that it will disband.. This is the fifth or sixth suit that has resulted from the disapnenranco of J. W. Wilson, the company's com-pany's secretary, with several thousand dollars. |
