Deceased was a native na-tive of Liverpool, England, and came to Utah in 186L He had been a resident resi-dent of Provo for eighteen j-ears. A widow and six grown childrcu survivo him. Freeman has begun suit in the district court for divorce from James Freeman on the grounds of do-sortion do-sortion and failure to provide. Iva Brady was granted a decree of divorce in the district court today from Thomas W. Bradj, on the ground of failure- to provide. Smith vs. Lucy E. Smith tho demurrer was overruled and defendant given fifteen fif-teen da3s to answer. Mrs. Allen, Mrs. Bonham, Miss Napner, Mrs. Corfman and Mrs. Rydalch. The club will issue an invitation for all women favoring prohibition for Utah to meet in a mass meeting at the stako tabernacle taber-nacle oil Monday. PLEASANT. Jan. 30, The local home dramatic club playod the "Old Homestead" to a crowded house last night. The proceeds of the plajr, after expenses are paid, will bo used for the purchase of pictures for tho district schools of this city. Professor N. K. Nielson of Spring-villo Spring-villo is here, the guest of his brother, P. M. Niolson. and wife. Ferdinand Buckstrom and wife of Salt Lako City were in town during the woek visiting their parents, who livo hore. It has been several years since they visited the old home. John Avarett, J. C. Barton and Captain Cap-tain L. P. Nelson went to tho capitol city during the week on business and pleasure. Alma Livingston of Fountain Green died during the week at his home from diphtheria. Ho leaves a wife and one child to mourn his departure, .besides many relatives and friends. B. R. Hcnscn of this city has gone to Seattle to attend the lumbermen's convention of tho northwest. He will bo absent about two weeks. Tho regular quarterly meeting of the Commercial clubs of Piute. Sevier and Sanpeto counties will be hold in this city on Saturday, February G, at the club rooms in this city. A big banquet and a dance iu the evening will form part of tho entertainment. Anthon Borg of Richfield was a guest of Mr. and Mrs. James Borg during the week. A. Johnson and A. Aldrich spent several sev-eral days in Salt Lako during the week on business. Georgo Gnrver, who is working in Salt Lako City, came home for a day ov two to visit his wife aud family. Ho returned during tho week. II. P. Mrs. Maria Clemenson, one of the aged residents, met with a painful accident ac-cident yesterday by falling on the slippery slip-pery sidewalk.
