There was a sharp advance In the London tin market, with spot quoted at 131 and futures at 130. .Locally the market was firm and higher, with quotations ranging- from $2S.75 to $2S.0o.- The London copper market was higher, at 5S 7s Gd for spot and 58 12s Od for futures. Local authorities report a-belter a-belter demand both here and abroad and some stress Is placed on recent shipments ship-ments to China. Exports since the first of February are said to have been heavy. The local market was strong and higher, with lake quoted at 12.622?I12.S7J, electrolytic elec-trolytic at $12.50!7'12.7o. and casting at $12.3712.62. Lead was higher at 14 in London, and tho local market was steady at $3.G5 '(fi3.75. Speller unchanged at 21 in London, but was a shade higher locally ai $1.70 M,75. The English Iron market was higher, wllh standard foundry quoted at 48s 7d and. Cleveland warrants at Ills 7id. The local Iron7 market was nominally tin-changed; tin-changed; No. 1 foundry, northern.
