Show OUCEY HAS EHQOGH SO HE QUITS BUSINESS He Closes His Saloon Twenty-Four Twenty-Four Hours Before His License Expires. George A. Ducey Is no longer In the saloon business in Salt Lake Ctly. For some time Ducey has conducted a. saloon of more or less questionable repute at 24 West Third South street. A week ago last Fridnv Ducey was arrested on the charge of permitting mlnorG In his saloon. He later entered a plea of guilty to the charge and wan fined $25. Chief Sheets announced at that time that If Ducey applied for a renewal of his license he would refuse to sign the application appli-cation L,a.st Saturday Ducey was again arrested, this time on tho charge of permitting per-mitting females In his saloon after 7 p. m. This caso Is now pending In the police court. Both Chief Sheets and Mayor Thompson stated to The Tribune that Ducey would not be granted a renewal of his? license, which expired at midnight last night. Ducey evidently concluded that the chief meant what he said about no more license, as he closed his placo of business busi-ness at midnight Monday, twenty-four hours beforo his license expired.
