I HARVARD VICTORS. Defeats Bates Team by a Good Score in Fast Game. CAMBRIDGE. Mass., Oct. 10. Harvard Har-vard , defeated Bates, 27 to 0, today on Soldiers' field. Bates had a fast team and played with a dash that during dur-ing the first few minutes carried the-Harvard the-Harvard team off its feet, and in three plavs, one of which was a quartorback kick, the ball was carried over for a score against tho Crimson. After the Bates touch-down tho Harvard team rallied and showed "ood team work.
