Show COPPER ORE RUNS TO FIIMRAGE Nevada Douglas Drift Breaks Info Eleven Per Cent Copper Rock. FIVE HUNDRED FEET OF ORE IS AHEAD Very Satisfying News Received Thursday by Local Office of Company. There i? one company operating a copper mine that fears neither price nor conditions surrounding copper, the management having every confidence in the situation adjusting itself in good time, and that, is the Novada Douglas Copper company of Yerington. The company is one of the most active now on the list, and results arc coming with regularity. Manager W. C. Orem stated Thursday that on tho Nevada Ne-vada Douglas group thero had been made a find of rich copper ore that is ouo of the banner developments so far registered upon the property. The find was made m the -drift of the main tunnel, the same being in for eighty feet Several days ago this face broke into a solid body of oro whoso general average, from top to bottom, is 11.7 per cent red metal to the ton. The drift hns pushed its way through eight feet of such ore, nnd the extent, of the same is as yet an unknown un-known quantity in every way. The last forty feet before this discovery the drift penetrated ore that had an average value of from 3 to 4 per cent copper. On the surface, states Mr. Orem, tho vein is fifty foot wide, and it is known that for all of 500 feet straight ahead there is ore. All surface indications indi-cations point to the drift being in such rock for that distance. Mr. Orem states that owing to tho rapid rise of tho hill the drift is making backs mighty fast.
