At tho meeting of the County .Commissioners this forenoon, tho application of Juvenile Judge Gunncll for a monthly salary of $25 for Probation Officer H. C. Jacobs was again presented to the board. The board decided lo drive another well and erect nnothor tank on tho wostorn edge of the city 11 in I Is, and Invite tho city to use wntor from the snmo to aprlnklo tho Twenty-fourth street road and the track crossings to Wall nvenue from tho west. If the Council nccopts this offer of free water, the country roads will bo sprinkled from West Weber to tho business edge of the city. At any rate, tho county is going In for artesian wells for a water supply for tho sprinkling sprin-kling of road districts, with the prospective pros-pective result that Weber county will have' the best string of country roads in the State. |
