Show MAKES eOOD RECORD Nevada Douglas Company Is Meeting With Some Very Satisfactory Returns. In giving the famous Ludwig property prop-erty at Ycrington a :tr3'ing outin order to demonstrate its merits beyond all question, the Nevada Douglas management manage-ment finds very little difficult" in making mak-ing their efforts tell nJong very pntis-factory pntis-factory lines. Manager W. C. Orem stated yosterday that tho mine management man-agement reports on the 6th of tho month there wore 150 ions of shipping orb on hands, and by the 12th of tho present month this nmount had been increased by 135 tons additional. Most of this rock is the result of simpl? development work, as two-thirds of tho forco now employed in tho mine is doing development work alone. Stop-iug Stop-iug ores, theroforo, is an incidental part of the company programme. This rock will riin at least 15 per cent copper and above, and-it is being sent into the market as quickly as the management can send it out. There am five cars of ore now on route from tho mine, all which will average between be-tween 15 and 20, per cont red metal. Tho company has what might be termed a freak shipment en routo to thia market. mar-ket. Shortly before the Nevada Douglas Doug-las company took over the Ludwig, the owners experimented with the water in the mine for the purpose of saving its copper contents. This water will run from 0.G to I per cent copper, and six tons of copper cement or precipitates precipi-tates averaging 50 per cent red metal are expected at any Hay. Sonic of the above tonnago of ship-1 ship-1 ping ore, about twenty tons, came from the work being done on the 550-foot 550-foot level. This is tho deepest level on I the gvoup so far, and it. is interesting for the reason that the sulphides arc I coming in there. Seven and' a half shifts extracted the twenty tons, whose value is 14.39 per cent red metal. In j the upraise from the 550-foot level, now ' up twenty-eight feet, the average value secured from across the back is 7.9 per cent copper. This is virgin ground, and J is coming out with results quite to tho satisfaction of those in charge. The upraise up-raise from the 100-foot level produced twenty-one tons of shipping ore during the development work last week, and tliere was a large amount of lower grade of ore developed, but left untouched. un-touched. Local circles deem such developments ) as these part and parcel of the argu- i mcnt that will force the Novada Doug- ! Ins company to complete the bargain J and become absolute owner of the Lud- j wig property. Tt is pretty safe to pro- ! diet that the option will be exercised, j and that the Ludwig will find itself i the proport'- of the logical organization I at Ycrington to take it over The grnip j though small cuts a bite out. of tho Nevada Douglas' great acrcaec that will look better on the map, at least, if colored by one and the samo color of chalk. - |
