The board in its decision saya that the reasons advanced for clemency were insufficient. in-sufficient. Gentry was first sentenced to be hanged for the murder of the actress ac-tress after a sensational trial. Actor friends and others camo to his asistance and succeeded in having tho sentence commuted to life Imprisonment. Last spring efforts to frco him after nearly eleven years In prison were begun and his case has been under advisement since May.
