Show MORE DISHONEST QUOTATION. Some time ago. the Herald quoted an approval of Mayor Morris, made In The Tribune lust spring, which gave us an opportunity to expose Its dishonesty, and also to show that Morris had proved such a aorry disappointment that the bud of promise that was hoped to be a flower, proved to be the poorest sort of Jlmson weed Pursuing Its dishonest, malicious, and sneaky course, the Herald yesterday quoted whut wo Bald two years ago against Mr. Mulvey, who Is an American Ameri-can candidate for Councilman. Again, the attempt falls of point, for Mr Mulvey Mul-vey has not only completely -changed his attitude, but everyone knows the facts. He is no longer a saloon-keeper, which was the principal objection we had to him before as a Councilman and he has reformed his politics, by leaving the fraudulent, church-ridden Democracy Democ-racy and Joining the party of progress and liberty. And this gles us the opportunity to repeat, as we have said before on other Occasions, that when Mr. Mulvey was In the Council before, he was almost the sole straightforward, honest, out BDOken member of It He took no part In Job; he was entirely free from any suspicion of the mean, petty, personal bits of graft and "perquisites" that were su freely charged upon many of the othtr members, that Is to "say, he was a man. while most of the others were but mice, or something not much better. |
