The detectives at tho start decided that tho murder was tho work of one of tho colored bell boys nnd servants in tho hotel, and began a systematic Inquiry Into the records of each Tt was found that Hannibal was an cx-convlct with a very bad record. Had Lots of Money. For two days after the murder he had a lot of money $10 and JS0 bills which was the kind of money taken from Mr. Thompson.
