Show "A TMAITOR GOES TO HELL." J Golden Kimball Is reported to have said In his sermon at Proo that traitors trait-ors would go to hell. If that be true, it is time for some of the eerj eieci among the hierarchs to be picking out their cool corners. for they are traitors In fact and word to the best government that this world has ever know n. They were the very least considered of all the citisena of this Republic, As a body, their property holdings were taken from them. To get that property bark, they made oath. Thej broke it. That was perfidy to the country. coun-try. Most vd them were being pursued by the law.To obtain forgiveness and to gain their liberty, they made oath of future obedience They broke It. That was Infidelity to the Nation They were without the right to vote. To gain this priceless heritage from the National Government, they made oath agalr. and again that theV would sustain the laws. They broke those affidavits. af-fidavits. That was conspiracy against the good order of so. lety. They were without the dignity and glory of Statehood. They made solemn covenants to hoed the country's laws and institutions They broke their obligations, and chey now excuse the breaking on the ground that they did not mean what they said, or that the man who said it for them Is dead, or else they give some other coward reason. This Is treason; this is the hissing of a snake in the grass; this Is Ingratitude; this is breach of trust, this is apostasy, this Is foul, blackguard dishonor dis-honor sueh as the country never saw before. Not In all the history of this Nation before has any considerable body of men asked forgiveness, obtained Jt. and then repeated the crimes which had been forgiven. Is a man who would do this anything less than a t raltor? Then, according to J Golden Kimball a high and revered hicrarch of the church, "a traitor will go to hell." |
