Show SALT LAKER WANTED BONDS. Asked for S100,00O of New Japanese Loan, but Was Refused. Special to Tho Tribune. LOS ANGELES. Cal., March 2a.-Salt Lako will get nono of the Japanese loan from Los Angeles. Application was mado today for S100.000 of tho portion allotted to tho Farmers and Merchants' National bank of this city by a Salt Lake capitalist, capi-talist, but was refused. Asked who thc Salt Iiko man Is who wanted a portion of tho loan. Cashier Seyler of tho Farmers and Merchants' National bank said:' "Ono condition on which the application was mado was that tho name of the applicant ap-plicant be not disclosed, and I will abldo by that condition. The reason his application appli-cation has been refused for the presont Is that the allotment to Los Angeles has been ovcr-subscrlbcd. "Today wo took applications for 5.0CO. We havo been instructed to closo tho lists at 3 o'clock tomorrow, but wo havo wired for more of an allotment. If wo get It Salt Lako mny bo accommodated, but I don't expect It." |
